Singles from Inquilaab "Jazba-e-Junoon" Released: March, 1996 Inquilaab (Urdu: ینقئیلااب, literal English translation: "revolution") is the third studio album and the fourth overall album of the Pakistani band Junoon. Although previous albums of the band were also successful, it was the first big hit album by the band. It contained the famous patriotic song "Jazba-e-Junoon" and the album showed the first foray in the single "Saeein", into what would later become the sufi rock. Other hits from the album were "Mera Mahi" and "Husan Walo". It was the first album, which began the new genre of Pakistani music the sufi rock, which later on became the trademark genre of Junoon. The concept of the genre began with the song "Saeein". The album's only single, "Jazba-e-Junoon" was a huge success all over the country and was the band's first big hit. The single made the album topped through the music charts and thus Junoon also began to dominate the Pakistani music industry. It was the first album in which Junoon developed a nationwide fan following, blending rock guitars and bluesy vocals with eastern elements like the use of tablas (traditional south Asian hand drums), raga-inspired melodies, traditional Pakistani folk music, and Eastern inspired poetry.
